Which storefronts are first-class?

The hosted widget covers everything else — BigCommerce, custom Next.js builds, static sites.

How does the Klaviyo connector work?

Two-way. We can read your existing segments and lists, push events back (browse, cart, purchase, agent-touched), and add or remove shoppers from external segments as journey steps. You can send recovery and journey messages through Klaviyo or through Resend — pick per store.

Is Segment outbound or inbound?

Outbound. Zubby pushes every event into Segment so it fans out to whatever destinations you've connected — your data warehouse, Mixpanel, Amplitude, your own ETL. Segment becomes a single hop to dozens of additional downstream tools.

What does the Zapier / Make integration unlock?

Outbound webhooks. Any journey step or system event can fire a webhook to a Zapier catch-hook or Make trigger. Use it for custom Slack alerts, Notion logs, sheet writes, internal tooling pings — anything your ops team has already wired up.

Can I use my own SMTP or email infra?

Yes. Recovery and journey email default to Resend, but you can route through Klaviyo, Mailchimp transactional, or a custom SMTP if you have brand-mandated email infra. The choice is per-store.

How are integration credentials stored?

Encrypted at rest using the per-tenant secret derived from DATA_ENCRYPTION_KEY (falling back to AUTH_SECRET). Constant-time compare on verification. The store-level access tokens for OAuth flows live in the stores.access_token column, encrypted.

Can I build a custom integration?

Yes. The public REST API + outbound webhooks cover bidirectional event flow. Hit /api/v1/{merchant,stores} for management calls; subscribe to outbound webhooks for state changes. We'll publish per-endpoint docs as the surface stabilises.
